The heart of Kenpo has always been practical, effective, self defense. For over 800 years the "War Art/Kenpo" was taught by the practicing of Waza/techniques

 

HISTORY:

When my brothers, Will and Jim, and I first began taking Kenpo, in 1957, we wrote down and filmed everything we learned in the martial arts. At the end of each class we immediately wrote down ever new technique we had been taught. We had a spare room in our house with an 8 mm camera and lights ready to go. As soon as we got home we filmed the new techniques and would review the film from time to time to make sure we had not forgotten anything.

These original films were reviewed during video production at assure that nothing was left out or changed from the original system.

Each technique is shown - With an opponent - without an opponent and from more than one angle when necessary. A complete breakdown and theory is given with each Original - traditional Kenpo technique.. Each video shows the complete technique with variations where applicable.

In traditional Kenpo there is no such thing as "EXTENSIONS". The complete technique, with variations, was always taught so you could use the technique "today". You were not give just part of the techniques then have to wait several years to get the other half to make it work.
